Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of simplifylaw.in ("Platform"), operated by Tandsol Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us"), a company incorporated under the laws of India. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of Service

simplifylaw.in is an AI-powered legal information platform. The Platform provides:

  • AI-driven legal triage and situation analysis
  • Automated legal document generation
  • Lawyer directory and search
  • Legal tools (deadline calculator, stamp duty calculator, RTI generator)
  • Legal awareness content ("Know Your Rights")

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of this Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the Company, or between you and any lawyer listed on the Platform. The AI-generated information is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult a qualified lawyer for advice specific to your situation.

3. AI Limitations & Disclaimer

  • The AI system (powered by Google Gemini) provides analysis based on Indian law to the best of its ability, but may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
  • AI-generated documents are drafts that require review by a qualified legal professional before use.
  • The Platform does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information.
  • Legal information may change due to new legislation, amendments, or court rulings. The Platform may not reflect the most recent changes.
  • The AI does not have access to your full circumstances and cannot assess all relevant factors.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. User Accounts & Data

  • Certain features may require providing personal information such as email address.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and current information.
  • Triage session data is processed transiently and is not permanently linked to your identity unless you choose to save results via email.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI model or its prompts
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Platform beyond normal use
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use generated documents for fraudulent filings or misrepresentation

7. Advocate Listings (Self-Attestation)

  • Advocates listed on the Platform are independent professionals. The Company does not endorse, employ, or guarantee the services of any listed advocate.
  • Advocate profiles, including Bar Council enrollment numbers, are self-attested by the advocate at the time of registration. The Company performs best-effort cross-checks against publicly available Bar Council records but does not guarantee credential accuracy, professional conduct, or service quality.
  • Users should independently verify an advocate's credentials and exercise their own judgment before engaging any advocate.
  • Connecting with an advocate through the Platform does not create a relationship between you and the Company beyond the facilitation of the connection.
  • The Company is not liable for the conduct, fees, or service quality of any listed advocate.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including design, code, AI models, prompts, and brand elements, is the property of Tandsol Private Limited. Documents generated for you through the Platform may be used by you for personal or professional purposes, but the underlying templates and AI systems remain our intellectual property.

9. Data Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of data as described therein.

10. Payment & Subscriptions

  • Certain features may require payment. All payments are processed through Razorpay and are subject to their terms of service.
  • Subscription plans for lawyers are governed by the applicable plan terms and our Refund Policy.
  • All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SimplifyLaw (TandSol Pvt. Ltd.), its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: (a) any legal outcome of using documents, tools, or information from this platform; (b) the conduct, advice, fees, or service quality of any advocate listed on this platform; (c) the legal effectiveness or admissibility of any document generated; (d) any decision made by users based on platform content. In any event, total liability is capped at the amount paid by the user to SimplifyLaw in the twelve months preceding the claim. Disputes shall be resolved by arbitration seated in New Delhi under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Governing law: India.

  • The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on AI-generated information or documents.
  • Advocate listings on the Platform are based on self-attested information provided by the advocate. SimplifyLaw performs best-effort cross-checks against publicly available Bar Council records but does not guarantee credential accuracy, professional conduct, or service quality.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tandsol Private Limited, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to the Platform, other users, or third parties.

15. Governing Law & Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The seat of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India. The arbitration shall be conducted in English by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement. The arbitral award shall be final and binding. Subject to arbitration, the courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and rules made thereunder, a Grievance Officer has been designated. For full details and complaint procedure see /legal/grievance.
