Grievance Officer

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and rules made thereunder), Tandsol Private Limited has designated a Grievance Officer to address concerns from users of simplifylaw.in regarding personal data processing, content, listings, or any other matter relating to the platform.

2. What You Can Raise
- Requests to access, correct, update, or erase your personal data
- Withdrawal of consent for processing of personal data
- Complaints about content displayed on the platform (including lawyer listings)
- Complaints about advocate conduct on subdomain pages hosted by the platform
- Concerns about AI-generated information or documents
- Suspected unauthorised access, data breach, or impersonation
- Any other matter under the DPDP Act 2023 or IT Act 2000
3. How to File a Grievance
- Send an email to grievance@simplifylaw.in from the email address associated with your account (where applicable).
- State your full name, registered email or phone, and a clear description of the grievance.
- Attach any documents, screenshots, or correspondence that support your grievance.
- If your grievance relates to a specific lawyer listing or page on the platform, include the URL.
4. Response Timeline
- Acknowledgment: within 48 hours of receipt
- Resolution: within 15 days of receipt, unless additional time is reasonably required (in which case we will communicate the revised timeline)
- If we are unable to resolve the grievance in 30 days, you will receive a written explanation
5. Escalation Path
If you are dissatisfied with the resolution provided by our Grievance Officer, or do not receive a response within the timelines above, you may escalate your grievance to:
- Data Protection Board of India (under the DPDP Act 2023) once notified and operational
- Office of the Adjudicating Officer under the Information Technology Act 2000, in the state where you reside
- For consumer-related disputes: the appropriate Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act 2019
6. Data Subject Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023
- Right to obtain a summary of the personal data being processed
- Right to correction, completion, updating, or erasure of personal data
- Right to grievance redressal (this page)
- Right to nominate another individual to exercise rights in case of incapacity or death
7. Verification
To protect your data, we may verify your identity before acting on a grievance. We may request a confirmation email from your registered email address, the last four digits of a phone number on record, or other reasonable verification.
8. No Charge
Filing a grievance with our Grievance Officer is free. We do not charge any processing fee.
